The story of a young man who joins an off-world militia team in the hopes of saving humanity. His home planet‘s atmosphere has been almost totally destroyed by his people’s technological advancement. He will embark on The Sirius 7 to make the six year journey to another galaxy. A galaxy that is speculated to hold a key mineral needed to repair the atmosphere on the planet Aeris. The Capital is the only place on Aeris advanced enough to have an energy field around it which blocks the radiation from their star. The surrounding peoples have long wanted to wage war against The Capital in order to claim the shield for themselves. There is a race to acquire the totally depleted mineral chrysos in order to allow their scientists to repair the atmosphere and prevent a world war. The main character Atlas, is deceitfully befriended by a scientist who then uses the threat of death to force him to assist in horrific experiments on the Natives of planet X-451. All for the purpose of creating an intelligent work force to aid in the mining process. This results in thousands of native slave camps and hundreds of deaths. The natives even begin to view the visitors as “gods”. This is only exploited to further the government’s cause – which is not entirely about repairing the atmosphere on Aeris... A major conspiracy is present, and Cyrus is scared for his life. Meanwhile wanting nothing more than to free the natives.
