"...Achingly funny and impossibly wise..." Jenna McCarthy, author of, * If It Was Easy They'd Call the Whole Damn Thing a Honeymoon; Living with and Loving the TV-Addicted, Sex-Obsessed, Not-so-handy Man You Married*

If you're looking for a hilarious look at yoga, real estate and personal development, you'll love this book!

Profound insight on human nature delivered in what seems like a yoga book (it's not), a real estate book (no way), but instead is a woman's fiction, humor tale that will keep readers smiling and longing for more.

This is the first book of the Guru Series

The author writes a simple story of an ordinary woman who wakes up one morning to find her life going downhill and she finds a unique way to pick herself up. In doing so she educates us about the now international concepts of yoga, karma, forgiveness and other principles which bring peace and joy into our lives. She deals with the above principles in a simple, honest, endearing way while relating to everyday events. She has even connected the physical with the spiritual and weaves the concepts smoothly into the story so that the reader is subtly educated without the feeling of being preached to. The heroine is an average being who uses her wits and the internet to overcome the hurdles life arranges in her path. Sheer determination sees her through and she comes out smelling roses with a different perspective on life.

I picked this book randomly without any expectations and found myself engrossed in the life of Melissa as she moves on in life and emerges a more confident better-shaped person with a pleasant sense of humor.
"Secrets of a Spiritual Guru" by Tamara Lee Doris is the story of the journey of a not very young woman who has been abandoned by her boyfriend who she had hoped to marry and raise a family with. All of a sudden she finds herself facing a dim future and she makes a determined effort to regain control of her life. A whole new world opens up to her and she is seen exploring the possibilities without getting immersed in self pity or drowning in tears. Great reading!
