Michael Rosen, the self-proclaimed # 1 Roald Dahl fan, is a broadcaster, children's novelist and poet and the author of 140 books. He was appointed as the fifth Children's Laureate in the UK in June 2007 and held this honor until 2009.

Quentin Blake has illustrated over three hundred books, including most of Roald Dahl's children's books. He lives in London.
